The MARV Original Sunken Seam® combines a smooth foam surface with sunken seams to deliver consistent pitching machine performance and realistic baseball flight. Weighing slightly over 3 oz, it provides a lightweight training option that is forgiving on hitters’ hands and bats.

Original or Dimple?

The Original features a smooth surface. The Dimple produces slightly more carry on fastballs and slightly sharper movement on breaking balls compared with Original.

Pair them for swing-decision training

Use both models at a calibrated machine distance to create subtle differences in pitch location. Set the Original to cross at the top of the strike zone while the Dimple finishes 1–2 ball widths above it, giving hitters opportunities to practice recognizing strikes and taking pitches outside the zone.

Adjust machine settings and distance to achieve the desired separation.
